These terms govern the use of the holo-van.it website and the camper van rental services offered by HOLO VAN. By using the site or requesting a booking you agree to be bound by these terms. The Italian version of these terms is binding in case of any discrepancy.
Definitions
"HOLO VAN" means the rental service provider. "Customer" means the person requesting or making a booking. "Van" means the rented vehicle. "Booking" means a confirmed rental request for the dates and van indicated.
Booking and confirmation
Submitting the booking form constitutes a rental request. The contract is finalised upon HOLO VAN's written confirmation and payment of the first instalment. The main driver must be at least 25 years old (unless otherwise stated for the specific van) and hold a valid B driving licence for at least 2 years.
Payment
Payment can be made in full or, if the booking is at least 30 days in advance, split 50/50: the first 50% at booking, the balance automatically charged 14 days before pick-up via Stripe. If the balance is not paid the booking is cancelled and the first instalment is retained according to the cancellation policy.
Cancellation
All bookings include the HOLO BASE policy: non-refundable, with the option to modify dates up to 60 days before pick-up. During booking you can add the HOLO FLEX upgrade for more favourable refund conditions (see the van page).
Pick-up and return
Pick-up and return take place at the locations and times indicated when booking. Delays exceeding 60 minutes may incur additional charges. The van must be returned clean (cleaning kit included) and with the same fuel level it had at pick-up.
Vehicle use
The van is for tourist and recreational use only. The following are prohibited: commercial use, sub-letting to third parties, races or competitions, unauthorised off-road use, transport of dangerous goods. The Customer agrees to comply with the road code and local regulations of the country of travel.
Insurance and excess
All bookings include third-party motor insurance. The excess for damages depends on the protection package chosen (HOLO BASE, HOLO EXPLORE, HOLO MAX). A security deposit is required at pick-up.
Customer responsibility
The Customer is liable for damages to the van, administrative penalties, fines, unpaid tolls and any cost incurred during the rental period, which may also be charged after return on the card used or against the deposit. In case of theft, accident or damage the Customer must notify HOLO VAN within 24 hours and file a report with the relevant authorities.
HOLO VAN responsibility
In case of a van breakdown not caused by the Customer, HOLO VAN will, where possible, provide a replacement vehicle or refund the days not enjoyed. HOLO VAN is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (e.g. loss of third-party bookings, economic losses).
Governing law and jurisdiction
The contract is governed by Italian law. For any dispute the competent court is that of HOLO VAN's registered office, save for the mandatory consumer-protection rules under the Italian Consumer Code.
Changes
HOLO VAN reserves the right to update these terms. Changes published on this page apply to bookings made after the publication date.
