PRIVACY POLICY

This notice explains how HOLO VAN processes your personal data when you use the holo-van.it website and our camper van rental services. We process data in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian law. The Italian version of this notice is binding in case of any discrepancy.

Data controller

HOLO VAN, based in Italy. For any request related to your personal data write to hello@holo-van.it.

Data we collect

We process: contact details (name, email, phone); booking data (dates, chosen van, pick-up and drop-off location, optional message); payment data, handled directly by our provider Stripe (we do not store card numbers on our servers); technical browsing data (IP address, browser, language); technical and security cookies described in the Cookie Policy.

Purposes and legal bases

We use your data to: manage the booking and rental contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR); meet legal and tax obligations (Art. 6.1.c GDPR); ensure site security and prevent abuse and fraud (legitimate interest, Art. 6.1.f GDPR); send promotional communications and the newsletter, only with your explicit consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at any time.

Data retention

Booking data is kept for the time needed to perform the contract and afterwards for 10 years as required by Italian tax law. Newsletter subscribers remain on the list until consent is withdrawn. Technical logs are kept for a maximum of 12 months.

Sharing with third parties

Your data may be processed on our behalf by: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (bot protection and infrastructure), Vercel (hosting). We do not sell or transfer your data for third-party marketing purposes. We may share data with public authorities when required by law.

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers are located outside the European Union (e.g. United States). Such transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent safeguards.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data and to request rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and to object to processing. You may withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time. To exercise these rights write to hello@holo-van.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Security

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted transmission via HTTPS/TLS, database access controls, separation of development and production environments, monitoring of abuse attempts.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice to reflect legal or operational changes. The current version is always published on this page with the date of the last update.
